TextCompare is a free, browser-based text comparison and diff checking tool. The Service allows users to compare two blocks of text and visualize differences at the line, word, and character level. All computation runs entirely within your browser — no text content is transmitted to or stored on our servers.
The Service is provided by GetInfoToYou and is part of a network of free tools at getinfotoyou.com.
Use License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access and use the Service for personal and commercial purposes. This includes using the diff output generated by the Service in your own work, documents, and projects without attribution or fee.
This license does not include:
- The right to copy, modify, or distribute the underlying source code of the Service without express written permission
- The right to resell access to the Service as a standalone product
- The right to scrape, systematically download, or reproduce the site content (including this page) without permission
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or related systems

GetInfoToYou's total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed USD $10 (ten US dollars). Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.

The TextCompare name, logo, website design, and original content (excluding content you provide) are the intellectual property of GetInfoToYou and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use our trademarks or trade dress without prior written permission.
The diff algorithms used by TextCompare are based on well-established computer science techniques that are in the public domain. Our specific implementation, user interface, and design elements are proprietary.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by GetInfoToYou. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.
